New catering operator sought for northern hospitality business

Issues with former operator's 'legal right to work' leads to change

A hospitality business in the north of the Island says it’s trying to find a new catering partner.

Babbage’s Bistro - at the Mountain View Innovation Centre - has been closed, temporarily, over the summer.

It had been due to reopen but the catering partner is not returning due to ‘circumstances relating to his legal right to work in the Isle of Man’.

Expressions of interest are now being invited from other ‘experienced and ambitious’ catering operators for the café and event catering facility.

A spokesperson said: "This presents a unique opportunity to take on an established catering business with a loyal customer base and multiple income streams already in place, while offering significant scope to develop and grow the business further."

The business includes the established weekday café, catering provision for Grasshoppers Nursery and hospitality for meetings, conferences and corporate events.
