Police in Douglas have rejected suggestions the town's new cafe for young people is becoming a magnet for trouble makers.
Cafee Laare on Lord Street provides a safe meeting place for youngsters, after school, in the evenings and at weekends.
It was opened last year in response to the often-heard complaint from teenagers: ' there's nowhere for us to go'.
Some local residents and businesses are said to be unhappy at the crowds gathering outside.
But Sergeant Ged Power from Lord Street police station says the cafe is very well run, and a crowd of youngsters doesn't mean trouble's inevitable.
