Changes to the organisation of the TT races have been announced this evening (Friday), following the resignation of the Manx Motor Cycle Club.
The Government departments for Tourism, Transport and Home Affairs will form a new Co-ordinating Committee.
Also involved will be the Isle of Man Constabulary, the TT Marshals Association and senior race officials.
This new committee will be responsible for all pre-event organisation, which takes place throughout the year, as well as off-course responsibilities during TT fortnight, such as traffic management and the festival.
The actual event, from competitors to marshal and medical cover, will be run by Auto Cycle Union Events Limited.
This is a subsidiary of the ACU, the governing body for the sport in the UK. It will report directly to the new Co-ordinating Committee.
