Two year project in grounds of hospital
The new £5 million facility for adults with learning disabilities has been officially opened by Health Minister David Ashford.
Greenfield Park is in the grounds of Noble's Hospital and is the new home for a range of day services, which were previously spread over several locations.
There are workshops to learn new skills, as well as a cafe and garden centre to enable people to gain confidence in a business setting.
Senior Support Worker Marie Spencer is impressed with the new centre and hopes users will eventually move on to opportunities elsewhere:
It offers different activities for clients to participate in, including weaving workshops, a gardening centre and a cafe.
