The long-awaited new GP surgery at Jurby is a step closer.
The Department of Health is asking for tenders to build the new facility, to serve the north and west of the Island.
Work on the project, which will need Tynwald approval, is due to begin in November with completion due next October.
The building will house a purpose-built GP surgery and a meeting place for community groups and charities like Age Concern and the Children's Centre - who currently use a converted house in Jurby.
The Jurby GP unit aims to relieve pressure on practices in Peel and Ramsey and will mean a shorter journey to see the doctor for those living in and around the northern village.
