Work to construct Summerhill View will take around two years
A new care home in Douglas which could cost almost £12m to build will offer greater dementia care and could be developed further in the future.
That's according to Health Minister David Ashford, who will be asking Tynwald to approve spending of up to £11.7m on the Summerhill View facility at Glenside.
The new home would replace Reayrt ny Baie, and take around two years to complete.
Mr Ashford says it's essential the site meets the latest standards:
