Tynwald to debate 'cost neutral restructure'
MHKs could see their basic salaries climb from £43,000 to £65,000 next week, if Tynwald approves a report on politicians pay'.
It's billed as a cost neutral move though, as the lump sum for tax free expenses will be scrapped, as well as the uplift for joining a department.
MLC's would also see their pay decrease, if the independent reports' recommendations are approved.
The MHK moving it admits there's never a good time to raise the issue.
