'Natural immunity' pathway for people who've had Covid-19

Proof of a positive PCR test exempts travellers from testing

People who've tested positive for Covid-19 will be able to travel to the Isle of Man under a 'natural immunity' pathway.

It means anyone who provides proof of a positive PCR test, from within the last six months, is exempt from testing.

At least 11 days must have elapsed since the result showing Coronavirus infection.

The new rules come into force tomorrow (16 September) and apply to both residents and non-residents who've had Covid within the Common Travel Area.

Government says it's following guidance issued by the European Centre on Disease Control with studies suggesting people are protected from re-infection for a number of months.

The exemption will not be applied retrospectively.
