The Manx Electricity Authority has completed laying the new natural gas pipeline in the north of the Isle of Man.
The 19km pipe will feed into the Manx Gas networks, serving Kirk Michael and Ballaugh.
Natural gas will replace the PG and 'town's gas' currently being supplied there in a year's time.
The pipe starts at Glen Mooar, where gas comes ashore from a pipline running between Scotland and Ireland.
Manx Gas engineers have recently carried out a survey of homes and businesses in Ramsey, to find out how many appliances need converting to natural gas.
The conversion work will being in Spring 2012.
