Latest vessel to be named after Neil Crowe
A naming ceremony will take place today for the Island's newest lifeboat.
Port Erin RNLI will host a naming ceremony at the breakwater at 12.30pm, followed by a display alongside the lifeboats from Peel and Port St Mary at 1.30pm.
The new lifeboat will be known as Neil Crowe in honour of a former member of the Isle of Man Yacht Club and supporter of the Gough Ritchie Charitable Trust, which has funded five RNLI vessels across the Island.
Neil Crowe will take over from Muriel and Leslie, which has served Port Erin for 19 years.
