Manx culture prize to be claimed
Entries close today for creative youngsters in the Island to submit their entries to a prestigious competition.
The North American Manx Awards salute the achievements of under- 18s in Manx music, arts and crafts reflecting Manx culture, and in the Manx language.
There are also awards for those who make an outstanding contribution to the Island's culture, and to the local community.
The competition is run by the Department of Education after the North American Manx Association set-up an annual award scheme to commemorate the millennium of Tynwald in 1979.
Nominations close by the end of today (20 May) and specially minted medals will be presented to the winners in July.
