The man left a carrier bag, containing the amount, at the Liverpool Arms after phoning appeal coordinator Nigel Dobson to tell him he had "some change" he wanted to give to the cause.
Mr Dobson has also praised the generosity of the Manx public, whose donations have enabled over 120,000 cups of clean water to be available for the Haitians before the end of the week.
But he would like track down the anonymous Irishman, to thank him for the money: (play audio clip)
