Case adjourned as defence requests more time due to significant amount of paperwork
A teenager accused of murdering 14-year-old Christopher McBurnie will appear in court again later this month.
The juvenile, who can't be named for legal reasons, appeared via video link at Douglas Courthouse this morning (16 July).
The case had been due to be committed to the Court of General Gaol Delivery today, but the defendant's advocate requested more time due to the significant amount of paperwork to be considered.
The prosecution didn't object, but did stress that it wants the matter to be dealt with expeditiously so the matter can be elevated to the higher court.
Proceedings were adjourned until 30 July, with the boy remanded until that date.
