MEA debt remains long-term burden
The head of Manx Utilities has defended a 6.4% rise in the Island’s water rate.
It will increase from April.
There will be no hike in electricity prices for 2017-18, however.
MUA Chairman Dr Alex Allinson hopes the public will understand its position, after the debt-laden former MEA was integrated into the Manx Utilities body:
