Health minister admits government exit strategy behind schedule

The health minister has admitted government's exit strategy is behind schedule due the concern over the spread of the India variant of coronavirus.

The document, published back in March, marked May 29 as the date for the change.

On Monday, the Island moved to what's being dubbed 'Level 2.5'.

It means residents, family members, partners, property owners and those with an employment contract of at least three months only have to isolate until they return a negative Covid-19 test, taken within 48 hours of their arrival on the Island.

The initial test costs £30, with a free test on the sixth day after arrival also required.
