UPDATE: The Department of Infrastructure has confirmed that today's closure will not be going ahead and tomorrow's contingency will be used instead.
The Mountain Road is due to close today for surface treatment and maintenance work.
It'll shut at 9:30am until 4:30pm between the Tholt Y Will Road and Creg-Ny-Baa Back Road
An alternative route will be available via the Douglas to Ramsey Coast Road.
Parking on part of New Road in Laxey will be restricted to help traffic flow for diverted vehicles.
