The route shut last night due to snow on ice, and was reassessed at 7am.
An update from the Department of Infrastructure confirmed the road currently isn't safe enough to open, and that work is ongoing to reopen the road.
Conditions will be assessed again at 12pm.
UPDATE 12pm - Road to remain shut until 1:30pm.
