DOI and police confirm closure due to 'worsening conditions' overnight
The Mountain Road is to remain closed until 12pm on Monday (5 January).
It was shut overnight between the Creg Ny Baa and the Hairpin in Ramsey due to 'worsening conditions' on the route.
A yellow weather warning for snow and ice is in place until midday today (2 January).
Forecasters expected snow to fall mostly over higher ground above 800 feet.
