There was a serious incident on the Mountain Road during last night's (Tues) practice session for the Festival of Motorcycling.
No details have yet been released, but police closed the road between Lheaney Road (near Ramsey Hair Pin) to the Bungalow for several hours after the session finished.
It opened again at 11.45pm
The session was carried out in what were described as excellent conditions, though was slightly late starting in order to allow a newcomer to complete a speed-controlled lap.
