Police expected to give an update in due course
The A18 Mountain Road has been closed to all vehicles between the Creg-ny-Baa Back Road junction and Barrule Park in Ramsey due to hazardous icy conditions.
The Isle of Man Constabulary announced the closure yesterday evening (1 January), citing concerns for driver safety amid the adverse weather.
Motorists are being urged to plan ahead and use alternative routes while the closure remains in place.
An update on the situation is expected to be provided later this morning.
