Santon man denies causing hotel fire
The trial of a man accused of causing the fire which swept through the Mount Murray hotel is nearing completion.
Deemster Main-Thompson delivers his closing address to the jury from 10am at Douglas courthouse, after which the six men and one woman will retire to consider their verdicts.
Sixty-four-year-old Santon man Roy Michael Cross denies breaching health and safety regulations.
A roofer, he was carrying out repairs to part of the hotel in November 2013 when he decided to use a blowtorch to dry out some plywood.
