Refurbishment work to start in weeks
A Manx-based company has bought the Mount Murray Hotel and Country Club.
Comis Holdings says it wants to create a landmark hotel and leisure development after the deal was signed late yesterday afternoon.
The development, called COMIS at Mount Murray, was dependent on a licence being granted by a court yesterday.
It’ll start refurbishing the hotel, which closed after a fire in 2013, within weeks.
A company spokesman says its vision is to provide superior hotel accommodation for visitors and locals, as well as a destination venue for business conferences and large-scale tourism events.
Comis Holdings says the restaurant should reopen in the coming weeks.
