Police begin annual winter vehicle checks campaign
Around a third of vehicles stopped by police as part of this year's winter campaign have been defective.
That's the message from officers who started the annual initiative on Monday.
During the first two days of the campaign around 65 vehicles were pulled over.
Motorists found to have defects are usually issued with a notice to have them fixed within seven days.
