Motorcycle rider and pillion passenger injured in Church Bends collision

Police give update on incident in the south of the Island

It's been confirmed a motorcycle rider and pillion passenger were injured in a Road Traffic Collision which saw a road in the south of the Island shut for several hours.

Emergency services attended the incident at Church Bends, Ballasalla shortly before midday on Thursday (20 August).

The injured rider and passengers received immediate care at the scene.

Anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed the collision, observed the rider prior to the incident, or who has dashcam footage which may help, is asked to contact police.
