Civil Registry reveals Isle of Man name trends

The most popular baby names in the Isle of Man for 2021 have been revealed as Arthur for boys, and Elsie for girls.

Theo and Charlie also came out near the top for boys last year, as did Arlo, Freddie and Oliver.

For baby girls, close behind Elsie came Evie, Alice, Grace, Millie, Olivia, Poppy and Ella - 2020's most popular name.

Top Boys names for 2021:
• Ten births were registered with the name Arthur
• Eight births were registered with the name Theo or Theodore
• Charlie (Charles) had six registered births
• The names Arlo, Freddie and Oliver were registered five times each

Top Girls names in 2021:
• The name Elsie was registered for a birth seven times in 2021
• Evie (Evee) was registered six times
• Alice, Ella, Grace (Gracie), Millie, Olivia and Poppy were registered five times each
