More than 800 Manx students receive GCSE results

Marks to be based on interim assessments

More than 800 students across the Isle of Man are to receive their GCSE results today (20 Aug).

Exams had all been cancelled this year as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, and marks are now being awarded based on former assessed grades.

It's a u-turn by exam board Cambridge International after a week where many A Level students missed out on higher scores as a result of a computer algorithm.

Now however, Ofqual and Cambridge International are awarding students their teacher-assessed grades.
