More than 2,400 emergency calls made in December

Emergency service personnel collectively made 108,382 radio transmissions

The Isle of Man’s Emergency Services Joint Control Room handled over 2,400 emergency calls last month.

Those 2,412 calls resulted in 1,240 police responses, 1,233 ambulance attendances, and 152 fire service dispatches.

The average time to answer a 999 call was 1.9 seconds, slightly slower than the usual average.

Additionally, the control room managed 15,547 non-emergency calls during the same period.
