Gov't to look at library's future
More than 1600 people have signed a new petition to try and save a Douglas library at risk of being shut down.
The Family Library, and Mobile Library, needs £250,000 each year to function and had been doing so with help from a benefactor and government funding.
However taxpayer support stopped last year and, with the addition of the pandemic, the library says it's having to consider all options including closure.
In Tynwald this week government agreed there is 'community value' in the service and plans to explore its future.
