Police amnesty to end on 2 February
More than 100 firearms have been surrendered as part of a police amnesty which got underway just over two weeks ago.
As part of the initiative, anyone in possession of a firearm or weapon can hand it over to the Isle of Man Constabulary without fear of persecution.
The amnesty started on 13 January and will run until 2 February.
The purpose, the Isle of Man Constabulary says, is to improve public safety by removing illegal, unwanted or potentially dangerous weapons and ammunition from circulation, reducing the risk of them being lost, stolen or misused.
So far 108 firearms have been handed over.
If you have a weapon or firearm to surrender you can do so at police stations in Douglas, Ramsey, Castletown and Peel.
