The number of police officers leaving the Island’s constabulary rose by almost 50 per cent this year, it’s been revealed.
In the House of Keys this week, Home Affairs Minister Juan Watterson was asked a question by Onchan MHK Zac Hall about the number of police who’d resigned, retired or left over the past five years.
In 2015, a total of 29 officers left – including seven on the grounds of ill-health and seven retirements.
That compares to just 20 officers who left in 2014.
