The Island does have a homelessness problem and more help is needed.
So says the director of local charity, Housing Matters.
Today marks World Homeless Day and the chance to draw attention to the needs of homeless people.
Many Islanders are not aware of the scale of the problem and Bill Mummery says we need to focus on prevention and immediate solutions that help people off the streets:
