Passenger numbers up on last year
Visiting motorbike numbers were up 12.5 per cent for this year's Southern 100 compared to 2016, the Steam Packet has confirmed.
Just shy of 1,000 bikes were brought to the Island for the four-day road race meeting.
Total passenger numbers were also up, by 4.8 per cent to more than 7,700, as were the number of cars, vans and trailers, with an increase of 4.5 per cent on 2016.
The company sponsors the Southern 100.
