Defence awarded £700 after accused admits to offence
Taxpayers will pick up a £700 legal bill after money-laundering allegations against a man from the north of the Island were withdrawn.
Twenty-nine-year-old Lee Little of Close Drean in Ramsey appeared before magistrates at Douglas courthouse.
He was charged with attempting to remove criminal property, but the prosecution withdrew the allegation after a co-defendant pleaded guilty and accepted responsibility for the offence.
Magistrates awarded the defence £700 in costs.
