Mercer claims new Crogga deal goes against what's agreed
A MLC has criticised government's move to grant a 27-month extension to Crogga.
Rob Mercer told Manx Radio government's decision runs counter to science and counter to the international agencies statement of 2021 that no new oil or gas reserves are needed.
He says gas is a transition fuel and the Island transitioned a long time ago - so it should be looking into renewable energy instead of oil and gas:
