Kirrie Anne Jenkins says yes to departmental positions
The role of the Legislative Council is not as clear cut as first thought although scrutinising and challenging government is key.
That's the view of Kirrie Anne Jenkins - one of the people hoping to become an MLC when the election takes place on 14 March.
There are currently six other nominees; sitting members Tanya August-Hanson, Paul Craine and Diane Kelsey along with Conor Keenan, Dawn Kinnish and Peter Reid.
Ms Jenkins says, while considering the purpose of LegCo, there are some things she's changed her mind about including the idea of MLCs being members of departments:
She was speaking on Agenda with Phil Gawne, you can listen back to that programme HERE.
