That’s from the Manx Industrial Relations Service which has disputed claims that it does not have a ‘trained, qualified arbitrator’.
It’s sought to make the clarification as the ongoing dispute between the Steam Packet and the Nautilus union continues.
A spokesperson says arbitration is used very rarely to resolve disputes and is something that has only happened a handful of times in the last 10 years or more.
It comes as an ongoing dispute rages on between the maritime trade union Nautilus and the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company.
The topic was discussed at length in yesterday's Tynwald sitting.
