Ministry of Defence to remove ordnance tomorrow

Section of Fenella Road to remain closed overnight

The Ministry of Defence will remove the ordnance found in a garden in Willaston tomorrow.

A couple of old small World War II shells were discovered while renovation works were being carried out at a property on Watterson Lane.

A small section of Fenella Avenue between Watterson Lane and Keppel Road will remain closed overnight, and police will remain on the scene.

The Isle of Man Constabulary stresses there is no danger to the public, and that the houses around the site were empty for construction purposes.
