Treasury minister faces questions about contingency funds and spending in Tynwald
The treasury minister says his ministerial colleagues must hold their chief officers to account when it comes to spending.
Alex Allinson faced questions in Tynwald about contingency funds; the money departments can apply for if they go over budget.
Minister Allinson confirmed there are no additional funds automatically set aside for each department, but applications can be made if extra expenses have occurred.
However, he says politicians have a part to play in ensuring departments stick to their budgets:
