
Home Affairs Minister Juan Watterson says he remains unconvinced widespread CCTV coverage of the Island would be a worthwhile use of money.
He faced questions during this week’s House of Keys sitting from Bill Henderson MHK about whether such systems would help cut back on car vandalism and street crime.
Mr Watterson said although CCTV could help, it’s difficult to say spending large amounts of cash on cameras and monitors would be cost-effective.
