Parents urged to share their thoughts on childcare

The education, sport and culture minister says she’s aware of the ‘very live’ pressures facing families on the Isle of Man.

Daphne Caine is urging parents and carers to share their thoughts about childcare provision.

A consultation is running until 20 July - you can find it HERE.

The department will use the information it collects to assess what is working well, gaps in provision, and any changes needed.

However, Minister Caine told Manx Radio future decisions needed to be informed by real-life experience:

For nurseries on the Island, the consultation is an important opportunity to set out just where the pressure points are and what measures they believe could benefit young families struggling to juggle childcare around work commitments.
