
Home Affairs Minister Juan Watterson says it’s important to remain vigilant, even though the Island’s crime rate is at its lowest for 35 years.
The latest government figures show another fall in crime, with just over 2,100 recorded incidents last year.
But with the Island’s police cutting back on the number of officers it has, is there a risk the downward trend will rebound?
