Claims Douglas voters have been excluded from the electoral register are "ridiculous".
That's according to the Policy and Reform Minister John Shimmin.
He's criticised a recent claim by business consultancy Carse Hannay, which suggested nearly half of Douglas voters have been excluded from the electoral register.
Mr Shimmin objected to the word 'excluded' because it implied people were deliberately prevented from voting.
He said the electoral register was flawed and inaccurate - adding Douglas North and Douglas South voter lists were now about three-quarters of the length they were in 2011.
Manx Radio contacted the Minister who's declined to be interviewed at this time.
