Functions being carried out elsewhere
The policy and reform minister has explained why some of the Island's quangos are set to be abolished.
Chris Thomas spearheaded a Cabinet Office review, which suggested that five quasi-autonomous non-governmental organisations should be disbanded.
Included in that five are the Police Advisory Group and Police Consultative Forum.
Mr Thomas says the functions of those bodies will be replaced elsewhere:
Manx matchmaker supporting couples 'frustrated' with online dating
Toilet changes at QEII 'well received'
Date confirmed for funeral of Sam Naughton
Buddy has first of two 'much-needed' surgeries
