Minister doesn't know if public health director will be Island based

Professor taking up post on interim basis

The cabinet office minister has admitted she doesn't know if the Isle of Man's new public health director will be based on Island.

Professor Hugo van Woerden has been appointed on an interim basis to replace Dr Henrietta Ewart who retired in May.

Manx Radio has asked government to confirm whether he will be relocating to the Isle of Man.
