Quizzed over doctors at Noble's Hospital
Health Minister Howard Quayle says if he had more money, he’d have more staff at Noble’s Hospital’s Accident and Emergency unit.
This morning, he faced questions in the House of Keys from Onchan MHK Zac Hall about staffing levels.
Mr Quayle said one consultant, two specialists, and 9 speciality doctors staff the unit around the clock, seeing 27,000 patients a year.
But he responded angrily to Mr Hall’s suggestion a single consultant means the unit is a “rudderless ship”:
