Minister apologises for 'handling' of Food and Drink Festival cancellation

"I accept we could've done things differently" says Barber

The environment, food, and agriculture minister has apologised for her department's 'handling' of the cancellation of the Isle of Man's Food and Drink Festival saying she understands the disappointment felt by those affected.

The decision has attracted criticism from local producers who claim they are being 'stamped on' with fears of decreased revenue as a result.

Backbench politicians are expected to quiz Minister Clare Barber over the announcement in the House of Keys tomorrow morning (25 June).
