Blanket ban on legal highs due in Tynwald
A 'rethink' of the Island's approach to drugs could soon be on the cards for government, according to the home affairs minister.
Bill Malarkey was appointed to the role last week, having previously sat on a committee responsible for drug and alcohol policy.
It's been a recurring political theme this year, with Ramsey MHK Alex Allinson calling for a 'complete review' of cannabis legislation and a petition to decriminalise the drug last month gaining over 1,000 signatures.
Elsewhere, new laws banning so-called 'legal highs' are due before Tynwald on Tuesday.
