MHKs to continue debating Assisted Dying Bill's clauses

Efforts to adjourn debate until November unsuccessful

MHKs will continue debating the proposed clauses of the Assisted Dying Bill today (26 June).

It follows an attempt by Ayre and Michael MHK Alfred Cannan yesterday to delay the debate until November.

He said he wanted more time to 'make the bill fit for purpose' but his efforts were rejected by his political colleagues.

You can find out more HERE.

The Private Members Bill has 14 clauses to discuss - MHKs are currently on number nine.

The sitting of the House of Keys will start at 10am.

You can listen to the debate via Manx Radio's AM 1368 frequency, via DAB or by clicking HERE.
