MHK's 'Dumb blonde' comments spark ire

There were bad-tempered scenes in the House of Keys this morning as Onchan MHK Peter Karran clashed with Treasury Minister Eddie Teare.

During questions, Mr Karran was repeatedly warned about his language and behaviour as debates turned personal.

Mr Karran earned an admonishment for wagging his finger at Speaker of the House of Keys Steve Rodan.

But he also found himself in hot water when he asked if Mr Teare was playing the “dumb blonde”:
