Mover insists even-numbered Legislative Council won't create issues
The second reading of a bill that would remove the Bishop's Tynwald vote has received support in the House of Keys.
Members backed the Constitution Bill, with 14 voting in favour and nine against.
Concerns were raised over how reducing the Legislative Council's vote from nine to eight would affect its ability to function.
But Ramsey MHK Lawrie Hooper, who's behind the bill, says that won't be an issue:
Ramsey Swing Bridge 'a key line' for businessesÂ
Protecting farmers from impact of climate change 'a no brainer'
